Hearthstone Wild Hunter Mech Deck (2022 Updated)

Introduction

After 2 years of pretty good performances Mech hunter was forgotten by all the popular Hearthstone wild deck builders. To correct this injustice, I decided to personally inspect the deck and make it modern. I didn't have to change much, as the basics are already top notch. Spoiler: this deck rocks.

New additions

x2 Flare

x2 Bloodseeker

x2 Furious Howl

As you can see there are really not many of them, but they protect the weaknesses of the deck. Flare is a must-have card against secret mages and stealth rogues. The nice thing about this card is that we don't pay extra mana for these situational effects. Bloodseeker fits in well with the tempo and allows you to react quickly to creatures with 2 health. And the new replacement for the Jeevs is Furious Howl. Not a bad card to restore resources (somewhere on the same level as Paladin's Divine Favor).

Mulligan

Keep Cogmaster if you have a 1-2 mana mech.

Keep Galvanizer if you have at least 2 other mechs in your hand or when Mechwarper in your hand.

Keep Flare against Secret Mage and other secret classes.

Keep Bloodseeker if you need to mulligan other cards in hand.

How to play

The mech hunter's main goal is to pick up the tempo quickly. We have two strategies for this.

The first is to use Cogmaster to start picking up the pace and making advantageous trades. As a result, by the sixth turn we are likely to smash the enemy's face.

The second option, on the other hand, is greedier. You have to use Mechwarper and Galvanizer to quickly reduce your mech's cost. After that, start crushing the enemy. Furious Howl will help you with this, giving you 1-2 more turns before you're worn out.

Both strategies work and depend on your mulligan. Practice a few games first to get a better understanding of how to act in unusual mulligans.

Conclusion

Mech Hunter is actually not as simple deck as they say it. It requires a sense of mulligan understanding and superior skills to identify your opponent's archetype. The main thing is to keep practicing and don't give up if you make mistakes at first. Keep going and maybe you will reach Hearthstone Wild Legend. Thanks for reading, and we'll see you in the next Hearthstone deck mini guide.
